Why Toyoni
Human help in seven languages, one fixed quote before payment and proof when the task is complete
Price from
$10
Do it yourself

Kobus (express buses, English)

Good for
Completing the task yourself when this option covers what you need
The catch
Since August 2026 Kobus takes foreign-issued cards without a membership, for express (고속) buses only. Some cards still fail the 3D Secure check. Intercity (시외) buses are sold on TxBus and Bustago, where foreign-card checkout is less reliable.
With a Korean account

Express & intercity buses (Kobus / TxBus / Bustago)

Good for
People who meet the app's Korean account and payment rules
The catch
You can search routes and pick seats in English, but the payment step on Korean bus sites often asks for Korean-card details or fails your card's security check. The T-money GO app only takes Korean-issued cards.
  1. Choose a chat app and send us the task
  2. Get a fixed quote from a real person
  3. We handle it and send proof

Want us to handle it?

Korean bus sites have English pages, and you can search routes and pick seats without a Korean phone. Where things go wrong is paying.

What actually stops you

Korea has two kinds of long-distance bus, sold on different sites:

  • Express buses (고속버스) run nonstop between big terminals, for example Seoul to Busan. They’re sold on Kobus.
  • Intercity buses (시외버스) cover smaller cities, for example Jeonju to Gyeongju. They’re sold on TxBus and Bustago.

In August 2026 Kobus started taking foreign-issued cards without a membership. Intercity bus sites were set to follow, but at checkout many foreign cards still fail. The screen asks for Korean-card details like a card password or resident registration number, or the card’s 3D Secure check fails. The T-money GO app takes Korean-issued cards only.

Can you do it yourself?

  • Express bus: book on Kobus with your foreign card. If one brand fails, try another.
  • Intercity bus: try TxBus or Bustago. If the payment screen asks for Korean card details, back out.
  • Hanpass (go.hanpass.com): a booking service for visitors that Visit Korea lists for both express and intercity buses. It runs in English, Japanese and Chinese, and you top up its wallet with a foreign card.
  • At the terminal: counters and kiosks take foreign cards and cash. Weekend and holiday seats can sell out before you get there.

When you can’t do it yourself

Get someone to book it for you (a Korean friend, or Toyoni) when:

  • your card keeps failing on the bus site;
  • the checkout asks for Korean card details or a resident registration number;
  • you need a fixed time on a busy weekend or holiday route and can’t risk the counter.

How Toyoni helps

A recent booking: Jeonju → Gyeongju intercity bus on TxBus, 9:00 departure, 26,900 won per adult. The traveler got as far as seat selection but couldn’t pay. We booked two seats and sent the QR tickets in chat.

Send us the route, date, time, and number of passengers. We quote first. After you pay, we book the seats and send the tickets (QR mobile tickets where the route supports them) and the reservation details in chat. The bus company’s fare and cancellation rules apply. For trains, see KTX; for taxis, see Kakao T.

How we handle your information

  • We explain what the task requires before you share anything. For tasks done on our account, we use our own verified Korean details.
  • You share only what the approved task needs. Send the route, date, time, and number of passengers. We quote first and ask for passenger names only after you approve.
  • Your card details stay with Stripe. You enter them on Stripe's checkout page. Toyoni does not receive or store your full card number.
  • You can ask us to delete your information. Contact us whenever you want us to remove what we hold.

FAQ

Can foreigners book Korean bus tickets online?

For express buses, yes. Kobus has taken foreign-issued cards without a membership since August 2026. Intercity buses are sold on TxBus and Bustago, where the English site lets you pick a seat but payment often fails for foreign cards. The terminal counter or kiosk always works if seats are left.

What is the difference between express and intercity buses?

Express buses (고속버스) run long nonstop routes between big terminals, like Seoul to Busan, and are sold on Kobus. Intercity buses (시외버스) cover smaller cities and routes like Jeonju to Gyeongju, and are sold on TxBus and Bustago. Check which one your route is before you book.

My card fails at the payment step on TxBus. What do I do?

Try a second card brand, and back out if a screen asks for a resident registration number or a Korean card password. If it still fails, buy at the terminal or send the route to Toyoni. We book it and send the tickets in chat.

Can I use the T-money GO app?

The T-money GO app takes Korean-issued cards only, so most visitors can't pay in it.

Do weekend and holiday buses sell out?

Popular routes on Fridays, weekends, and holidays like Chuseok can sell out days ahead. If you need a fixed time, book online before you travel instead of counting on the terminal counter.
