Who we are

Hi! We’re Apollos and Chloe.

Toyoni started with fried chicken. One evening Apollos was in Busan by himself, opened Baemin to order dinner, and couldn’t. He’s Korean American with no Korean phone number, and the app just wouldn’t let him through. (This was before people had figured out the workarounds.) It wasn’t a big deal — more of a “huh” — until the same wall kept turning up. Reservations on Naver. Ordering on Coupang. Stuff locals never think twice about, that you just can’t do without a Korean number.

Chloe’s Korean and could do any of it in her sleep. That’s the whole idea behind Toyoni, really: someone who can, doing it for someone who can’t.

So that’s us. Tell us what you’re stuck on, one of us does it on a real Korean account, and we send you proof. We live here, we’re actual people, and we’d just rather you got your chicken.
